For each city Will Leather Goods has a retail store in, there is a tote that is created. Since I started working at Will, the city totes that were created were very typographic and flat. When I was tasked with coming up with ideas for the Denver city tote, I wanted to call back to the artistic nature of some of the older city totes. I liked the idea of using script from old postcards because that is essentially what these totes are – sort of Will's "love letter" or a thank you to the city our store is in. To the left are the final mock-ups of two of my favorite ideas. Below are my initial sketches for the tote.
