The logo was created to convey the amount of love for animals the student-run ethics club have. There are many things in the career that people don't know and the club was created to inform.
The logo needed to include the wide variety of animals the veterinarian students at Oregon State University aid. They specifically requested that a heart shape of some sort was in the logo as well – hence the cupped hands and the sheep and cat facing each other.
